Discover How My Background Goes Beyond Traditional Consulting
Unlocking Your Children’s Potential Through Diverse Educational Expertise
I draw on my diverse academic and homeschooling background to offer invaluable insights that empower your child’s homeschooling and college journey. Continuously staying on top of developments through conferences, seminars, college visits, and discussions with admission officers, I apply the latest and most innovative educational practices and tools to give your best advantage possible.
Enriching Your Child’s Learning Through Community Engagement
While homeschooling my children, I co-founded Many Rivers Unschoolers and led Voyagers' Homeschool Cooperative and Resource Center. Today, I am actively involved in the Independent Educational Consultants Association, the National Association for College Admission Counseling, SENG (a nonprofit organization for Supporting the Emotional Needs of the Gifted), and the Digital Learning Consortium. Being part of these communities stimulates critical thinking and ongoing learning. Through personalized guidance, I will help you consider engaging environments tailored to your needs, nurturing a love for learning in your child.
Educational Consulting for Your Homeschooling and College Journey
With over two decades of experience in educational consulting and mentorship, I specialize in creating customized homeschooling plans for your child's unique needs. Exceeding what a boxed curriculum can provide, I consider various materials, including primary sources, online courses, dual enrollment college classes, private tutoring, and more, to solidify your child’s homeschooling and college process.
My enduring goal is to provide children with personalized learning experiences, guiding them from beyond mastery to deep proficiency and understanding.
