College preparation for homeschooled students

Your homeschooling journey is unique, and I’m here to help you showcase it. Whether you're a student considering college or a parent exploring the best options for your child, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

I'm Dr. Michele Evard, a homeschooling educational consultant dedicated to making college preparation seamless and successful for homeschooled students.

Together, we'll craft standout documents, create compelling personal statements, and help you find the college where you'll thrive—if that’s your goal.

Your academic journey is my priority, and I’m committed to making it stress-free, exciting, and personalized.

Every student has a story that deserves to be told.

However, transforming that story into an easy-to-read transcript, meaningful course descriptions, and credible recommendation letters can be daunting. And then there’s the challenge of crafting a personal statement that truly stands out.

That’s where I come in. I empower students to express their individuality, cultivate their strengths, and foster agency by transforming the college search into a path of personal development and opportunity rather than just status or rankings.

We’ll navigate the admissions process to find colleges that align academically, socially, and financially while creating documents that express your story, ensuring you’re seen, heard, and understood.

I’m here to support you in discovering a good fit where you’ll truly thrive.

And, parents, I’m here to brainstorm, answer your questions, and help propel your children forward.

How will I do that?

As a member of IECA and NACAC, I uphold the highest standards of ethics in my business. I also stay up-to-date with college trends and programs through frequent campus visits, active engagement with admission officers, and possessing a deep understanding of their preferences for homeschool applicants. By leveraging data analysis, personal guidance, and expertise with homeschoolers and students who studied in online schools, I center on the student’s future - whether it’s college or a different path that lies ahead.

The Step-by-Step Process

  • Book a FREE 20-minute discovery call to explore how we can work together. This brief chat will help us get acquainted and clarify the support you need, while I address any questions about my services.

Parents, it’s crucial that you and your child feel a connection with me. If you’d like to meet first, schedule a discovery call. Should you decide to proceed, you can book a Strategy Session for your child, and I will credit the fee toward a future package.

Please note: If you need immediate assistance with specific questions or document reviews, feel free to skip the initial inquiry and directly book a strategy session.

  • I’m dedicated to celebrating your unique path, and once we decide we’re a great match, we’ll kick off with our onboarding meetings. Together, we’ll dive into understanding your individual strengths, goals, and aspirations, laying the foundation for you to fully embrace your potential and confidently take charge of your future.

  • After our initial journey of self-discovery, we'll move into the planning phase, creating a customized timeline that aligns perfectly with your academic, social, and financial needs. Together, we'll outline every step—from college visits to applications and beyond—ensuring you're fully prepared for each milestone with a clear, actionable plan.

  • I’m here to support you every step of the way. Whether you’re a student or a parent, I’m available for meetings and emails to answer questions, offer reassurance, and provide expert guidance. With my dedicated support, you’ll receive personalized, comprehensive college preparation that empowers you to navigate the process with confidence and clarity.

We wanted to thank you so much for all your expert help and support last school year. We couldn't have done it without you and it was so fun to check in with you so many times during the year. We decided to give [a new local charter school] a try for this Fall. … We hope you won't mind if we check in once and a while, since we may decide to homeschool again and would love to work with you again.

  • Senior in an online school

Thank you so much for checking up on me. I’m doing well and happy to say that I committed to Trinity University. Thank you again for your mentorship this year. I’m so appreciative for every zoom call and essay edit :) I hope to keep you updated with all the cool things I accomplish during my time at Trinity.

  • Homeschooled senior

I really appreciate all of your help guiding us through this whole process, and am very glad that it resulted with being able to attend a great university at a price my family can easily afford.

  • Tallessyn G

Working with Michele was essential! Before we started the college application process, we had no idea how to turn everything my daughters had done, in all their activities, programs, home school, and classes, into an application that admissions committees would even understand. But with her easy to follow, thorough process, we were able to put their best foot forward and help them stand out as the amazing students and people they are, with applications that really reflected their hard work and unique strengths. And they both got into very competitive schools in the midst of a tough bump in application rates! Thank you, Michele, for helping our kids find the right schools for them and step into the future with confidence!

  • Parent of a 2e student, homeschooling senior

Thank you for the wisdom you generously shared with me and my husband. It helped guide our conversations with our daughter the past several days. I told her how proud of her I was for revisiting a suggestion she previously rejected so firmly.
